About the Safari Camp Blue Mountains Safari Camp was originally created to make the work easier for staff in setting up a campsite, paricularly for our International clients. The location is right in the heart of the Blue Mountains, just over 30 minutes from Katoomba, with the added bonus of 4WD access. The site is completely contained within private property, and has unsurpassed views of the sheer Blue Mountains escarpment, which is often lit by the setting sun in a magical display of golden light. As the land has no houses, there are ample wild kangaroos, and it is rare not to see some while at the camp. With a few tents permanently in place, the kangaroos tend to ignore them and hop through the campsite. To ensure environmental friendly operations, we only burn fallen timber, of which there is plenty on site, and we have a fully contained composting toilet, with relaxing views! Our dining tables and seats cater for 20 people, and additional settings can be placed. Alternately, enjoy a fireside meal, or relax with a few drinks aroundthe campfire in the evening. If you are thinking of going camping in the Blue Mountains, think about sharing a campsite with a group of campers, all in their cars, with loud music blaring, and not much peace and quiet.
